Flying Fortress and a walk in the woods

This morning, I remembered an errand I needed to do in town, so I put Toby in the truck and we took off.  When I had done my errand, I decided to go to Wolf Run Park and take a little walk.  Very little, because I am so out of shape that I can't go far.  But, I love a nice meander in the woods.  It is so nice that I wore my sandals and did not wear a sweater or jacket.  I believe it was almost 50 degrees!  Well, as usual, when I stopped the truck at the park, Toby started yelping like a Yorkshire Terrier in terror!  LOL!  He is so funny!  He acts like he will just DIE if he doesn't get to go walking in the woods.  So, after I got him out of the truck, he dragged me into the woods.  I got some videos, but for some reason they were sideways and I don't know how to turn them right side up.  One of these days I may just catch up with technology.  But, I did get a few pics:

My next project is for my brother, Lee.  A little while ago, we were skyping and I shared a screen and was showing him some reference photos that I had saved on my computer, mostly for future artworks that I was dreaming about.  I was flipping through babies, children, water scenes, animals, birds, and happened upon a photo of a B-17 Flying Fortress in a stormy cloudy sky.  I went right on past it and Lee said, "Go back!  Was that a B-17?"  I said, "I don't know."  Well, he saw it and said that it was and he would love to have an oil painting of that scene.  Okee-dokee!  I will give it a try.  The clouds are going to eat my lunch, but I will try.  The photo is on a free site for artists to find photos that are donated by photographers for use as reference photos for artworks.  You cannot use the photos as-is, only for artworks, so that is why I cannot post the photo, itself.  But, trust me, the photo is beautiful.  I will post progress reports.  I think I will put it on a 12x16 canvas.  And the colors of the sky, well...  I am going to have fun...
