A few weeks ago, I saw a funny red bird with a squatty black head in our redbud tree. I tried to figure out what it was. I looked in my bird book and I was all excited about finding a nifty new bird. LOL! Well, it turned out to be a molting cardinal. Boy, do they look pitiful and they look like they are not too happy about it.
So, today, while sitting at the dining table, folding clothes, I looked up and saw one on a post in the backyard. I ran for my camera and took pictures. I took them until he left. I took them from the back door and from the kitchen window. He just sat there posing the whole time. I must have taken about 50 photos and only got a few clear ones.
Isn't he funny and sad at the same time? LOL! At the end, there, he had a singing buddy. His buddy sang some songs for him and they flew off together.
The thought occurred to me that a vulture would look really nice with a feather toupee. Don't you think?
By the way, the garden is a weed patch now. I haven't been out there in a while and last night I went out and loaded up with squash and zucchini. I don't know if I will get the garden weeded, but I know that we will be having Chicken and Zucchini, Chicken and Squash and Zucchini, Chicken and Squash, Steaks and Zucchini, Steaks and Squash, Steaks and Zucchini and Squash, Fish and Zucchini, etc. I think you get the picture...
